Random Shared Information

Shared Resources

This list is in no particular order. They are random things that I have shared with students and on the internet. I needed a place to store them for easy access. At some point they may end up integrated into the site proper, but this was the most efficient solution right now.

Harmonics

Harmonics - Diagrams showing both the look in music as well as the sound of the note. The top line is the sound and the bottom is the way it is likely to look in music. Be aware that harmonics are a little inconsitent in preseentation. It sometimes takes some thinking to figure out if they are asking for a natural harmonic or a false harmonic. Hopefully, this will help you play the note that is being asked for.

Tuning Temperaments

A student asked me a question about the difference in tuning in 5ths or by a digital tuner. I knew the basics, but not enough to have a confident detailed conversation. This told me that I had a plenty to learn. I started on the research and about 20 hours later I had been further down the rabbit hole than I planned.
